    I'd suggest taking up a hobby or some sort of exercise that helps you meet others. For example, if you enjoy needlework, knitting, or crochet, you could look for a club or circle to join.

    Try a local gym-I found that yoga and wateraerobics sound lame but are quite fun and social.
