New Anti-Spam Policies Coming
Hi ladies! In order to prevent spam, we will soon be putting limits on the number of Oddstracts and comments you can make in an hour. If you go over the limit your account will be disabled until a site admin can look at it. We did this for a few reasons: 1) it blocks somebody from filling up the posting stream with junk, 2) it makes spamming inconvenient,...
and 3) you can't earn Odd Coins so fast that you order five or six samples within an hour, which is what spammers have been doing. So, if you suddenly lose access to your account please email us at help@isthatodd.com because it means you probably hit the spam limit. We will adjust the limits if our regular users are getting locked out more than once...

We're currently planning to limit Oddstracts at around 10/hour and comments at around 30/hour. We want our regular users to be able to use the site without a hitch, but not allow excess spam. We will watch very closely to see if any of our regular people hit the limit as it is imposed, and adjust from there.

Thanks so much Nikki and ITO team!! After seeing the spam here today, I was a little frustrated. I'm also glad you are putting a little to how many comments/posts users can make because I've seen people make ridiculous/ non-sense/ repetitive posts in a matter of minutes just to earn points.

I'm glad to see you guys are working on it. I might have to watch out, as I have certain times that I can get on here and try to catch up each time I am on. Generally before and after work. I have tried to flag some of the spam posts as well, but sometimes there are so many I just get tired of even looking at them. Thanks for the info Nikki.

I think its good, but there also isn't a variety of people who create oddstracts, I feel it's always the same people. So, in a way, without the spammers we wouldn't have as many oddstacts. At least they're not posting the same thing constantly

Yeah, those limits sound more than reasonable. However some people like to create more oddstracts than others maybe the number for that could be increased. Who knows?
