  • Shopping and Strangers

I was shopping for a new outfit for work this past weekend and an older woman asked my opinion on an outfit she was looking at. I was polite and answered. Then, she kept asking my opinion on lots of outfits. I was uncomfortable and left the store. Was her behavior odd?

I do find it odd but if my husband goes shopping by himself he sometimes has to ask people if things match.. or look good togther. But he mostly asks employees of the store he's at. He does this cause he's color blind and can't see some colors or thinks some colors are a different color altogether lol :( I usually try to go shopping with him thou lol he used to think the green go traffic light was white.

It sounds like maybe the older lady was lonely? I would help out all I could then polite excuse myself to another place in the store or elsewhere for a bit. Or you could have recruited a store employee to help her shop.

I think so...why would someone waste her and your time?

Maybe she was getting a special outfit and she didn't have anyone to shop with?

I agree with the other two comments. Sounds like she was lonely and had nobody to shop with.
